Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
Starting February 7th
Presented by Mary Myers, a Helix Graduate.
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is an effective, inexpensive and short-term method for addressing chronic issues
including depression and anxiety. There has been a lot in the news about the uses of mindfulness in the mental health world,
and this is one of the founding practices that is leading the field. There have been articles about the effectiveness of MBCT
in periodicals as diverse as the New York Times and the Shambhala Sun.
Mary Myers will be presenting the MBCT course in New York City starting on February 7th. We will meet on Sundays from 4pm to
6pm in Chelsea for eight weeks, and in the middle we will also have the opportunity to practice a day of mindfulness together,
for a total of 9 Sundays.
This is an invaluable training for both clients and health care
professionals. For more information about the course and how it works you
can visit this link http://www.revmarymyers.com/contact.html
Please also share this information with anyone you think might be interested
in learning new ways to deal with difficult feelings and situations as well
as health care professionals who may find it useful in terms of learning new
skills to work with their clients.
You may feel free to contact Mary Myers if you have any questions.
